Title: One Day
Date: July 15, 2002
Duration: 15 hours 55 minutes
'One Day' referenced the site's earlier history as a Trappist monastery. Each person worked in silence, often alone, as they performed a series of hourly tasks from sunrise to sunset. While most of their activities were nearly invisible, the artists met three times during the day at three different locations in the landscape, for a communal meal, which was witnessed by the audience. This instructional performance could be described as a meditation on one's daily practice as an artist.
