Paranormal 101
As the autumn wind stirs the leaves and dusk settles over Winnipeg, the St. Norbert Arts Centre invites you to step into the unknown. On Friday, October 17, join us for a spine-tingling paranormal investigation at one of the city’s most creatively charged and spiritually resonant spaces. 18+ Event
Nestled in the heart of St. Norbert, this unique centre is more than just a gallery—it’s a living, breathing hub for artists, healers, and storytellers. Housed in a beautifully restored 1912 guesthouse, the Arts Centre is surrounded by five acres of gardens, ceremonial grounds, and the hauntingly beautiful ruins of a former Trappist Monastery. Over the years, it has become a sanctuary for creativity, cultural exchange, and—some say—unexplained phenomena.
On this chilling night, experienced investigators will guide you through the building, using professional tools and techniques to uncover what may lie beyond the veil. With its layered history and deeply spiritual energy, the Arts Centre has long been a magnet for those drawn to the mysterious.
Bring your curiosity, your flashlight, and your courage. The spirits of art and history may not be the only ones lingering after dark.
Not able to join us for the investigation, or maybe you have questions about what you might experience? Join us on Saturday, Oct 11 at 7pm for a hauntingly good paranormal talk at the arts centre

About the Artist:
Michael McGovern, a singer songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland, returns with 10 captivating new tracks that mark a clear evolution in his sound and solidify his place as one of the standout songwriting talents of his generation. Including ‘Evelyn,’ a breakout track that went viral earlier this year, racking up over 100k streams and inspiring widespread covers online. The new album, 'Thin White Road' is rich in storytelling, drawing inspiration from literary voices like Laurie Lee, Hunter S. Thompson, and T.S. Eliot. While honouring Michael’s classic fingerpicking style and impressive vocal range, this album expands sonically with full band arrangements, lush vocal harmonies, saxophone, and strings. Think Laura Marling meets Leonard Cohen, a hint of Fleet Foxes, often with the raw energy of Crazy Horse. Michael made a strong debut with Highfield Suite (2021), a bedroom lockdown project produced by renowned guitarist Bill Shanley that earned critical acclaim.
